The County’s Housing Grants Program provides rental assistance to low-income Arlington residents. These grants cover a portion of monthly rent, depending on household income, household size and rent amount. Applicants must meet income requirements and personal assets may not exceed $35,000.

Eligibility Requirements

This program serves Arlington renters who are:

  • 65 years or older
  • Totally and permanently disabled
  • Working families with at least one child under age 18
  • Clients and patients of a County-operated or County-supported mental health program

Income Guidelines

Maximum allowable gross income from all sources is as follows (effective 07/01/12; however, depending on ages of household members and apartment rent, actual income limits may be less):
