Parc Rosslyn is a 15-story, mixed-income property with 101 affordable apartments. (A household of four may earn no more than $65,520 to move in, and would pay approximately $1400 for a two-bedroom apartment; max incomes allowed and affordable rents vary according to household size and unit size, respectively.) The first Silver LEED-certified multifamily building in Northern Virginia upon completion in 2008. Parc Rosslyn is owned by the Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH).
Built in the 1930s, Colonial Village (162 units) was one of the first garden apartment complexes in the U.S. and the first to receive federal mortgage insurance. The distinction earned a portion of the community a listing on the National Register of Historic Places. A $14.2 million renovation in 2012 won EarthCraft’s Multifamily Renovation Project of the Year award, which recognized the use of sustainable materials and energy efficiency. Colonial Village is owned by Wesley Housing Development Corporation.
