HCD Presentation Communitywide Meeting
Join us to learn more about the Housing Conservation District (HCD), a special planning district designated on the General Land Use Plan encompassing 12 multi-family areas around the County. The major goals of the HCD are to:
- encourage the retention of multifamily character
- preserve housing affordability, and
- broaden the types of housing available to households across the income spectrum
Staff will share information found in the recently published HCD Update Report, present background on the HCD and the Housing Arlington umbrella initiative which includes HCD, and lead a community conversation on the proposed zoning and financial tools discussed in the HCD Update Report.
