The Affordable Housing Master Plan (AHMP) defines the County’s affordable housing policy and enables Arlington to respond to the current and future needs of residents of all levels of income in the County. The plan includes the context for affordable housing in Arlington, an analysis of current and future housing needs, and the affordable housing policy.
Find information on year over year rent increases for the County in general and the three planning corridors – Rosslyn-Ballston, Route 1 and Columbia Pike. This report is updated quarterly and also includes information on maximum allowable rents for committed affordable housing compared to average market rent.
The Columbia Pike Neighborhoods Area Plan is the County’s most ambitious long-term planning effort to preserve affordable housing. It will also preserve historic sites, improve buildings and public spaces, create walkable and bike-friendly spaces and support a future streetcar line.
